Jim Wetzold is a tax accountant based in Millbrook, NY, with over 30 years experience providing tax compliance, tax consulting and income tax dispute resolution services to a wide range of clients from SEC registrants to small businesses and their owners. Recently, he has specialized in helping small businesses and their owners with their tax planning, tax compliance and income tax dispute resolution needs. Jim has experience with individuals, corporations, S-corporations, partnerships, and estate and trusts. Additionally, Jim has experience with international taxation, expatriate tax services and multi-state and local tax services.
Jim has served a wide range of industries, from retail and wholesale to services businesses such as architecture, public relations and law firms. He has written and lectured on a wide range of tax topics, and was a featured panel member in the Albany Business Review Tax Expert Roundtable discussion on tax law changes. Before starting his own firm, Jim practiced for many years at KPMG LLP and BDO USA LLP in New York City.
Jim is a CPA in New York State and holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. John’s University. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Jim lives with his family in beautiful Dutchess County, New York.
